Celina, Funness

I went to my Grandma's house this weekend with my cousins. My grandma has a pond outside of her barn that is ussually just a puddle but with all of the rain that we have been having it was more full, and VERY muddy. So my aunt was painting my my cousins toenails when my cousin said "I should just go jump in that pond. no just kiding"" My aunt said "I would pay you 5 dollars if you went and jumped in that pond." my cousin said "No I wouldn't do it for just five dollars" My aunt said "would you do it for ten?" My cousin said " Yeah!" My aunt said "yeah right" My cousin said "well I would do it if Celina did it. Would you do it with me Celina I would split the $10 with you."
I said that I would My aunt said that we would NEVER do it. we went out there and did it. my aunt paid us and said that My cousin would have NEVER done it if I wasn't there. It was fun.

Celina, Play

Yesterday after Lydia told me all of those fun things to do I took some pictures for a while. Then it started to rain and I came inside and convinced Jonathan to do a play with me. We decided to do a fun little comedy I will put in as much of the script as I can ember but you do not have to read it :). Oh I have to tell you what I was wearing I was wearing a knee length stripped bright green skirt, with some fuzzy green Eeyore (from Pooh Bear) sleep pants under the skirt, I had on a BIG white shirt, with a pillow under the shirt to make me look fat, bright rainbow colored suspenders, and a bright tie died bandanna that I made at summer camp last year.
The Magic Washcloth
Scene One
(Boy is riding his ripstik around and trying to do tricks, he falls. a washcloth comes flying at him)
Boy- Oh just what I needed thanks mom! (wipes his face and armpits with the washcloth)
Fairy- (runs out) POOF!
Boy- Woah! Were did you come from?
Fairy duuu! Magic washcloth mixed with the pit sweat of a sad boy: Poof a Fairy! Well anyway would you like to be the best ripstiker in the land?!?! (throws her arms out)
Boy- UMM lady nobody says land anymore it's world.
Fairy- Well SOOORRY! You can't blame me I Am like 1 Gazillion, 2 bazillion, 7 trillion, and a 1/2 years old! Well Would you like to be the best ripstiker in the World!?!?! (throws her arms out dramatically)
Boy- Well duuu
Fairy- OK! here is what you can do- you can either dance with seven beautifully princesses, write a five hundred page essay, work hard until you are good at it, OOORR You can go on a mystical journey.
Boy- the one that involves Princesses!
Fairy- No I don't like that one (looks at him excpectiantly)
Boy- OOKKKAAYY, then I guess that I will work hard till I have it down.
Fairy- No that one is Lame because I would have to leave and it is pretty boring just flying around throwing magical washcloths at people
Boy- Well then I guess I will write the 500 page essay
Fairy- NO that one is dumb because it is summer time and you cannot do school in the summer it is just not allowed.
Boy- well I have no choice but I will do the mystical journey.
Fairy- Oh! YEAH! that is my favorite one!!! Well you had better pack
Boy - ok! (starts to run off but fairy grabs him and pulls him back) Ow! that hurt!
Fairy- (looks at him weird) Nooooo, I have to tell you what to pack.
Boy- Lots of stuff!( starts to run off but fairy grabs him back) OW! Stop that, that hurts!
Fairy- First of all you are a wimp, second you need to pack some food, a toothbrush, and a sock.
Boy- don't you mean a pair of socks?
Fairy- no a sock. Well go on I will be waiting
Scene Two
Boy- (walks out of the back room) I am done packing let's go! HELLO! Fairy!
Fairy- POOF! Sorry I had to throw some magic washcloths at sad people.
Boy- Well I am ready to go
Fairy- Oh well you need a gallant steed
Boy- Yeah! I have never ridden a horse before, is it hard?
Fairy- Well (looks thoughtful) Yeah I guess so ( walks off grunts and groans a little then comes out with my stuffed animal unicorn)
Boy- THAT is my gallant steed?!?! Do I really have to ride that?
Fairy- One minuet POOF (walks off) POOF (comes back) Well I looked in my fairy manuel and it said that in the end you are probably going to end up ridding it but you can try to walk, rite this way.
Boy- (starts walking then runs into an invisible wall, tries again, and runs into the same wall)
Fairy- Oh that would be the magical invisible wall
Boy- I guess that I have to ride the horse
Fairy- Gallant steed, But hop on.
Boy- (gets on to the horse) yay! Go (slaps the horses rump) Does this horse know how to walk?
Fairy- No.
Boy- (sighs, and starts sliding the horse across the floor, and goes into the storage room.)

Scene Three
Boy- (Walks out of the storage room)
Fairy- (from the back room) I need my favorite thing (comes out on a desk chair) A SWIVEL CHAIR! (spins around, talks as she is spinning) all right for this first test you need to spin around on the swivel chair ten times in five minuets.
Boy- Ok that will be easy (gets on the swivel chair and pushs off of the fairy)
Fairy- no you can not use anything to push yourself.
Boy- (starts to spin by twisting his body and makes it ten times around just in time.)
Fairy- Good now you have to start at that end of the room and wiggle yourself on your back all the way back here.
Boy- ok
Fairy- you have to do it in 50 seconds, and the only way that you are going to do it is if you think of the trick.
Boy- (started skooting across the floor on his back after a while- Can I have a little help?
Fairy- sure! (drug him across the floor)
Scene Four
Boy- (walks out) Are you ready for this? I am going to do some REALLY cool tricks (trys to do a trick and falls) What happened? I thought that I was supposed to be really good!
Fairy- Oh no! you still have to practice. Did you think it would just come to you???
Boy- Well yeah, then what did I do all of that stuff for?
Fairy- well I was bored! (walks off)
The End!
so kind of a dorkey little play we did but it was fun.

Celina, Arm fights

I just beat both of my brothers at arm fighting (I don't know how to spell what you normally call it) and Preston has been working out! I feel very proud of myself! Preston is always telling me that I am too lazy and to come outside.

Grace- Jesus Is...

This is what a lot of Christians will say, "Jesus is my Redeemer, He's my Savoir, I would die without Him." And I TOTALLY agree with all of that. But I am not going to lie to you, choosing to follow Jesus is a TON of work. Here's a little poem about it.

What Jesus Means to Me

Jesus means a lot of crying
A lot of effort and self denying

He means turning my eyes away
And refusing things that might help me to stray

Jesus means going the extra mile
Whether or not I think it worth my while

He means that I have to be kind to others
My parents, friends, sisters and brothers

He is perfect, I am not
All He did was good, much of what I do rots

It means that I know I am always being watched
It means that my salvation was dearly bought

Jesus means, that my life is not my own
He means that I can't just hang up the phone

Jesus means a whole lot to me,
Trials, triumph, and responsibilities

Many people don't think that it is worth the effort
To follow Someone as hard as this
They chose to live their own lives, to go on and ignore
But at the end of times, who will get the rewards?

I have the promise of eternal life
Despite the sins of this world, despite my strife

Jesus has covered it all for me
I'd say it's worth the risk, wouldn't you agree?

Lydia, My life

Hi!
Lets see...I will relate what has been going on in my life the past weeks. Well we had a choir concert, it went pretty well, I had a great time singing the fun "Psalmo 150" and the gorgeous "The Lord Bless you and Keep you." I really enjoy choir and am pondering over trying out for the audition choir "Bel Canto" at the end of the school year. Any thoughts and opinions are welcome. Today my dad and sister are in Oklahoma-where the wind comes sweeping down the plain ;)-looking at some vehicles to possibly get. So they might come home with a new car! Going to Oklahoma sounds far, but actually it is only around two hours away from our house. I have been enjoying the beautiful spring weather. I am going to plant my flower garden soon. I will plant these lovely "painted daisies", some wildflowers, purple cone flowers, and others. I though I would post this poem I made up a year ago.

Spring

The bright blue sky smiles down,

to the grassy field carpeting the ground.

The puffy white clouds sail a loft,

over the hills and the chimney tops.

The sun warms the soft dirt,

The rain waters the brown earth,

allowing the flowers to open up and bloom

they will reveal their full splendor soon

The whole world sparkles in flowers galore,

in pinks, purples, and colors ever more.

The daffodils and roses smell so sweet,

the bee’s who love the nectar’s special treat.

All make me think of beautiful spring,

so many colorful, glorious things.

It just makes my heart want to sing,

with the beauty that the sweet spring air brings.

Love you all!

Jessica~Just keep on going

Ever have those days when you feel like everything is going wrong, and yet, you have NO idea what it is? Ever have that feeling like you're the only one in the universe? Goodness knows I have. This post is kinda a reminder for all you girls and for me too.

I had a horrible day yesterday, but for what seemed no reason. The main thing to remember is that God still loves you and would never give you anything you couldn't bear.

So when you feel like giving up, when you feel like no one is around that understands, first off remember that God understands and second, that there are millions of girls struggling with the same thing, including me!!

Love you all!!

"And God is faithful;
he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted,
he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."
1 Corinthians 10:13

Jessica~Story Poll

I have recently started writing a story. This time, I'm pretty sure I will either finish it, or get pretty close to it. But I'm stuck on some things and need your guys' opinion. If you've got an answer just put it in a comment.
Thanks!

1-How to create a name.
I am REALLY stuck on this. Any ideas of how to create one?

2-Pictures?
I always like a book straight through without pictures. But, that's my opinion. What do you think?

3-Chapter Title.
Should I leave it like this:

Chapter 1
_____________

or like this:

Chapter 1-A Fresh Start
______________

If you have any more ideas, feel free to share them! Thanks a bunch!!

Celina, Cookies

I was making cookies today and I thought "Hey why don't I put my recipe on the blog?" This is the recipe that I sell.
Chocolate chip Cookies
Mix 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter, and 1/2 cup shortening until smooth. Then add 2 teaspoons of vanilla, and 2 eggs mix well ( I like to beat it up a little to make it nice and fluffy making fluffy cookies). Then add 2 1/2 cups flour, one teaspoon salt, and one teaspoon baking soda and mix well. Then you can add a bag of chocolate chips I use semi sweet but milk chocolate works too. You can put like ANYTHING in them as far as the chips go, sometimes I put crushed oreos in which is sooooooooooo yummy! but you can put pretty much whatever you want for the chips.

Grace- That's a Lot o' Rocks

My family is doing some season landscaping projects to spiffy up our property a bit. We own about 3 acres in a country subdivision, and we are on the nicer side of the neighborhood. To be honest, we are not the nicest house, we have a lot of stuff and a lot of outdoor stuff, and considering that all of our neighbor's are older people that have immaculate lawns and gardening, you can imagine how we stick out.

My daddy and mama have come up with a plan for how to make our place look nicer using materials that we already have. One of the plans involves a rock bed in front of our house. This particular rock bed has been a pain in the backside for quite sometime. The man who built our house didn't put down any landscaping fabric, so underneath the rocks is a layer of dirt. In this dirt weeds find a foothold and then grow into nasty and unattractive monsters that make our house look neglected.

Their plan involves removing the rocks bit by bit and putting plastic underneath them, thus eliminating the dirt factor. After that we will clear a space to put flower boxes, and then fill in the open places with the rocks.

One problem with all of this, the rocks themselves are mingled and mangled in with the dirt. Solution, just wash them! Ho, not that easy.

This morning my daddy tried just spraying them off on the walkway, but that didn't work. It sent a lot of rocks into the yard and onto the lawn mower path(dangerous idea) and everywhere else. Plus the dirt was just kind of piling up at the bottom and becoming dried mud that was plastered to the cement.

Remembering some old wisdom and experiences from his grandfather, my daddy made a wooden frame with netting stretched taut across the top and nailed firmly down on the side. BEAUTIFUL! Now all you have to do is take a few shovel fulls of rocks, spray them off, let the dirt run down through the netting, and then toss them back into the bed. Sounds easy, and as far as brain involvement goes, it is. But laborwise?

Me and my middle sister were out there for almost an hour shoveling, scraping, spraying, shifting, and dumping (this was the second time this happened, the first time it was when we actually had to shovel the rocks out of the bed and onto the pathway) . If you are wondering where my three strong and manly brothers were, they had retreated inside behind walls when they saw that we were ready to begin work. Though later my middle brother came out to help, but that was all.

After over an hour of that, my back ached, and I was STARVING! In we came for lunch and a change of clothing. I was covered in rock bits, mud, and water. Nothing could have felt better than stripping off my wet socks and jeans, and then slipping into some clean shorts and a shirt. Ah, sit down on the couch with a book and a back pillow, sigh... that's a lot o' rocks.
